My Priorities As Your City Councilor

Open Space

The finalization of the Open Space Easement, held in partnership with SLCo, was an amazing and long-awaited accomplishment. But the need for more parks and trails hasn’t gone away. As we have seen this past year, the need and desire for outdoor recreational opportunities have grown. I would like to finish projects we had to set aside for the pandemic when grants were pulled, like the All Abilities Park and the Jordan River Boat Launch.

Prison Land Development

I will continue to work as partners with the state on the prison land development to make it a project that Draper is proud of, and that adds to our high quality of life. With this new development, we need thoughtful and strategic planning as well as experienced leadership to guide this new addition to our city.

Clean Air and Transportation

I will continue to work on doing our part on clean air. A few of my priorities on this are:

  • Continue to build our active transit opportunities

  • Idle free awareness

  • Advocate for Draper residents around mining issues. I will continue to fight to protect the health, safety, and welfare of residents.

Public Safety

Our City has phenomenal public safety. From our award-winning Draper City Fire Department to our phenomenal, nationally recognized Police Department, with its focus on community-based policing. I will continue to ensure our departments are funded and have the resources available to them to continue being one of the best public safety departments in the country!
